About
One question, answered quickly: what will the weather do tomorrow?
Each town page gives tomorrow's forecast in a sentence, the chance of rain through the whole day, and straight answers on the things people decide the night before: umbrella, coat, washing out, and the school run.
Where the forecasts come from
Forecasts come from Open-Meteo, which combines models from national weather services including the Met Office. The data is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0. Your browser fetches the latest forecast each time you open a page.
Times are UK time. Wind is in miles per hour, temperatures in degrees Celsius. "Feels like" includes the effect of wind and humidity. We count rain as likely when the chance is 50% or more, or when a useful amount is forecast.
Your location
The home page shows tomorrow's weather where you are, anywhere in the world, without asking for permission. It estimates your town from your internet (IP) address, which every website receives. Your browser looks it up with ipwho.is, or ipapi.co if that isn't available. This is usually right to the nearest town, but a VPN or mobile network can put you somewhere else.
If it's wrong, "Use my location" asks your browser for your exact position. That location is rounded to about a kilometre and sent to Open-Meteo for the forecast and to BigDataCloud to find the place name. It's remembered only in your own browser. This site keeps nothing.
